Delete your Minkee account

You can delete your Minkee account and the data associated with it at any time — in the app, or by sending us a request below if you can't get into the app.

This page is for Minkee, the dating app for Android, provided by [Company legal name].

Delete in the app

    Open Minkee and go to Profile › Settings

    Tap Profile in the bottom bar, then the Settings icon.

    Tap Account › Delete account

    Pick a reason for leaving and, if you like, tell us what we could do better.

    Tap "Delete my account", then "Delete"

    Your profile is hidden straight away, you're signed out, and you can't sign back in with that account.

Just need a break?

Snooze your profile instead. You'll be hidden from Discover and keep your matches and chats.

Request deletion on the web

For when you can't access the app. We'll reply to confirm the account is yours, then delete it within 30 days. We only act on requests sent from the email address on the account, or once you've shown the account is yours.

Enter the email address you use for Minkee.

This opens your email app with the request ready to send to privacy@minkee.app. Nothing is stored on this website.

Send the email to finish

Your email app should have opened with the request. Once you send it, we'll reply to confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming the account is yours. If nothing opened, email privacy@minkee.app from your account's address.

What we delete

Straight away, when you confirm in the app:

  • Your profile is hidden from everyone
  • Your profile photos, prompt answers, likes, passes and profile visits
  • Your date safety plans and chaperone links
  • You're signed out on every device and can't sign in again

Within 30 days of your request, everything else:

  • Your sign-in account: email address, password and Google sign-in link
  • Your profile record: name, date of birth, every profile detail and your location
  • Your matches, messages, reactions and photos you sent in chat
  • Your settings, online status and verification badge
  • Any verification selfie that hasn't been reviewed yet

What we keep, and for how long

Only what we need for safety and the law, kept securely and not used for anything else:

  • Reports, report evidence and blocks made by or about you, and the information needed to stop banned people returning: up to 3 years.
  • Support requests: up to 2 years after they're closed.
  • Consent records and your deletion request (including the reason and any feedback you gave): up to 3 years, to show we handled them properly.
  • Backups: encrypted backups are overwritten within 90 days.
  • Legal requirements: anything we're legally required to keep, only for as long as required.

Messages you already sent may still appear to the people you sent them to until deletion completes. Uninstalling the app doesn't delete your account.
