Community guidelines

Minkee works because people show up honestly and treat each other with respect. These guidelines apply to everything on Minkee — profiles, photos, messages — and to how you treat people you meet through it.

Last updated 21 October 2026

Be yourself

  • Use real, recent photos of you. No photos of other people, celebrities, cartoons or heavily filtered images as your main photo.
  • Be honest about your age, relationship status and what you're looking for.
  • One person, one account. Don't share your account or create accounts for others.

Be respectful

  • No harassment. Don't send unwanted sexual messages, keep contacting someone who hasn't replied or has said no, or threaten anyone.
  • No hate. We don't allow content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or serious illness.
  • Respect boundaries. Everyone moves at their own pace. "No" — or no reply — is an answer.
  • Be kind when it's not a match. A short, honest message beats silence or rudeness.

Keep it safe

  • 18+ only. No minors, ever — including in photos. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation; see our child safety standards.
  • No nudity or sexually explicit content in profiles. Don't send explicit images to someone who hasn't clearly asked for them.
  • No violence or threats, and no content promoting self-harm, terrorism or dangerous acts.
  • No sharing private information — yours or anyone else's — such as addresses, phone numbers or financial details in profiles. Never share someone's private images.
  • Nothing illegal, including drugs, weapons or anything else against the law.

Keep it genuine

  • No scams. Never ask for money, gifts, crypto or financial help.
  • No selling or promoting. Minkee isn't for advertising, recruiting, sex work or links to other services.
  • No spam, bots or fake accounts.

Offline conduct

These guidelines follow you off the app. If someone you met on Minkee harms or threatens you, report them — we can act on what happens offline too.

Reporting

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it from the person's profile or your chat — it reaches our safety team fastest. You can also email safety@minkee.app. We never tell someone who reported them.

What happens if guidelines are broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, send a warning, temporarily restrict features, or permanently remove the account and prevent the person from returning. We report illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, to the appropriate authorities. If you think we got it wrong, contact support@minkee.app to appeal.
